Every AKIHI piece is handcrafted in Jaipur using hand-picked materials, elaborate craftsmanship and extreme care. We guarantee the quality of our wares and therefore request that you follow the instructions below to increase the life of your jewelry:

• Store each piece of jewelry separately in the cotton pouch/box received with the purchase, to prevent the risk of scratches and nicks.
• Store away from direct heat and sunlight as prolonged exposure can cause discoloration of beads and threads.
• Avoid contact with hard, abrasive materials and surfaces.
• Take care to keep the jewelry dry and away from water, lotion, hairspray, makeup and fragrances, as it will escalate the likelihood of tarnishing. Avoid wearing them while engaging in activities like exercising, sports or swimming. Chemicals like chlorine, found in swimming pools, can severely damage the finish and loosen the settings of beads and other materials.
• After each wear, we suggest that you wipe down ONLY the back side (metal side) of the piece using a lint-free cloth to remove traces of sweat and makeup.
• Your jewelry should be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off while getting ready. Doing this will ensure that it doesn’t get caught in your clothing for an accidental tug could damage the piece.
